They say. Well, time flies and easter has come. Winter is over and we’re into some beautiful blue skies here in Denmark.
In the time that’s passed I’ve tuned my photo gear a little with a 80-200mm f/2.8D ED AF Zoom-Nikkor. For a long time I’d been telling myself it was too heavy but at last I realized that the convenience of zoom range between 80 and 200mm was probably more useful than the fixed 180mm f/2.8D ED-IF AF Nikkor that has been my sole tele option above 85mm up until now.
The 85mm f/1.8D was sold and instead I got me the legendary 85mm f/1.4D. The 1.8 version is a very nice performer but the 1.4 version is simply magic.
I’ve also aqcuired a couple of cheap 50mm MF Nikkors to play with. They are great for learning and it’s quite fun to use the aperture ring instead of the on-camera wheel.
